Back To School Anti-Stress Blend

Tess August 17th, 2006

With the start of school we must also address the issues of stress. Stress is definitely not exclusive to business-type executives. Children feel the effects of stress as well, and are usually less equipped to deal with the resulting emotions and health issues that surround this condition.

This blend can be placed in an inhaler or even on a tissue and placed in a plastic bag for inhalations throughout the day as needed. It is also wonderful when used in the bath at the end of a particularly long and stressful day.

What is endometriosis?

The endometrium is a special type of tissue that usually lines the inner walls of a woman’s uterus. Sometimes endometrium migrates and becomes implanted in other areas within the pelvis. In women with endometriosis there may be endometrial tissue on the fallopian tubes, the ovaries or anywhere else on the lining of the pelvis- these are all places endometrial tissue is not meant to be.

Hypnosis For a Change

Tess August 16th, 2006

Hypnosis is a term that brings up a variety of images:

of people sleepwalking, stage shows with people doing odd things or a man with a thick German accent, saying, “You are getting very sleepy ….”

Although all of the above can and does happen, hypnosis, well and ethically used, is in reality simply a way to help people achieve the changes they desire.

We all go into a state of something like hypnosis at least twice a day: when we are waking up and when we are going to sleep.

Thyroid Hormone Therapy Appears To Cause Breast Cancer

Tess August 12th, 2006

by Dr. James Howenstine, MD

Medical journals and textbooks typically portray iodine as an unimportant substance which should be taken in small amounts because of it’s dangers. Actually approximately one third of humanity has iodine deficiency.

When humans lack iodine the thyroid gland enlarges (goiter), nodules appear in the thyroid gland and over a period of time cancer may appear in a thyroid nodule. Conventional medicine treats thyroid gland enlargement with thyroid hormone without considering the possibility that the hypothyroidism and goiter may be due to lack of iodine.

Though sciatica is often confused as a disorder, it is actually just a symptom that points towards a probable compressed sciatic nerve. Sciatica pain is typical and radiates from the lower back and can reach up to the toes.

Tess August 10th, 2006

Keep Lemon on Hand to Kill Germs

Tess August 3rd, 2006

Keep a spray bottle handy for quick cleanups in children’s playroom. Add to dishwashing liquid or any mild hand soap. Use in a spray for disinfecting the air. You’ll find plenty of other uses I’m sure.

It has high antibacterial properties. It’s antiseptic properties will last for 20 days. Lemon has the ability to stimulate white corpuscles that defend the body against infection. Combine with Angelica to stimulate the body’s immune system. It is a powerful bactericide and great for kitchen clean ups.

All about Throats and Tonsils
