Experts believe that there are at least eight risk factors that can lead to the onset of ADHD. These are toxicity of heavy metals and other environmental toxins, allergies from food and additives, deficiency of essential fatty acids and phospholipids, deficiency of amino acids, low protein/high carbohydrate diets, deficiency of vitamin B, thyroid disorder and mineral imbalances especially of iron and zinc. Since most of these are related to the diet, supplementation has become an integral component of ADHD treatments.

The term erectile dysfunction covers a range of disorders, but usually refers to the inability to obtain an adequate erection for satisfactory sexual activity.
More common in men older than 65, it can occur at any age. As men age, it is normal to experience changes in erectile function. Erections may take longer to develop, may not be as rigid or may require more direct stimulation to be achieved. An occasional episode of erectile dysfunction happens to most men and is normal. Men may also notice that orgasms are less intense, the volume of semen is reduced and recovery time takes longer.

What is flatulence?
Flatulence is an excess of gas in the digestive tract, particularly the stomach and intestines. This can cause bloating and abdominal pain, excessive belching and passing of wind. It is normal for a certain amount of gas to end up in the digestive system and be expelled by belching or flatus (passing wind).

Inattentive type of ADHD is characterized by a behavior that is not overtly active. The children suffering from the inattentive type of ADHD are not disruptive and hence parents and teachers find them are easier to manage. As a result, it becomes very difficult to diagnose this condition. Apart from this, not many scientific studies have been conducted that specifically examine the response to ADHD treatment of children who have been diagnosed with this type of ADHD.

NEW YORK (AP) — Scientists have identified a common genetic marker that signals a 60 percent heightened risk of prostate cancer in men who carry it, and it may help explain why black men are unusually prone to the disease, a new study says.
The DNA variant may play a role in about 8 percent of prostate cancers in men of European extraction and 16 percent of the cancers in blacks, researchers said.

Graves’ disease, known as Graves-Basedow disease in Europe, is caused by an antibody-mediated autoimmune reaction and is characterized by goiter, exophthalmos, and hyperthyroidism. These characteristics are specific and conditions that can be used to detect the possibility of the presence of the Graves’ disease.
1. Goiter - a swelling in the neck just below the Adam’s apple
2. Exophthalmos - the protuberance of one or both eyes accompanied by fatigue, weight loss and other symptoms of hyperthyroidism.
3. Hyperthyroidism - an overproduction of thyroid hormones, commonly known as T4 and T3.
