Prevalence of impurities in the environment, modern diet and lifestyle has made it necessary for us to give prime importance to the concept of detoxification.
Detoxification was not so pertinent for our ancestors. Because even though they were exposed to natural toxins, they had a systematic procedure of regular detox treatment. The treatment was in the form of periodic fasting and herbal detox. The coverage of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) has recently been increasing in the media and for good reason. Although scientists and researchers are still trying to decipher the riddle of causation for this curious disease, the prevalence of Alzheimer’s disease is increasing at a very rapid rate!
New scientific projections suggest that by 2050 more than 13.2 million aging Americans will suffer from the debilitating effects of Alzheimer’s disease, and without an emphasis on prevention, this number could realistically grow even higher.
