Men are likely to face a typical problem with their prostate, a small male gland located between the bowel and the bladder, once they are above the age of forty. A major problem arises when this gland enlarges and pressurizes the urethra through which the urine is passed.
The dribbling, incontinence, burning sensation and the necessity to get up in the night frequently for urinating associated with the condition can cause extreme irritation and annoyance.

Most of us suffer from some sort of back pain one time or the other. Lumbago is a common occurrence that is caused by exertion, bad posture or lifting heavy objects improperly. Sciatica is a more serious condition of pain in the low back that may extend via the pelvic region down to the heels.
Sciatica is actually a symptom of the compression of the sciatic nerve due to an alternation in one or more of the spinal discs. It may also be caused by a pinched or pulled sciatic nerve.

There has been a lot of media hype over herbal treatments. With the banning of certain herbs and their exclusion from the US pharmacopeia, due to their reported adverse affects, herbs have also had their shares of controversies.
Herbs are natural products and have nothing to offer to pharmaceutical companies as they are difficult to patent. Turmeric is one of the few herbs over which the Indian Government has fought a successful legal battle against companies that are trying to patent it for medicinal purposes.
