Roman Chamomile Recipes

Headaches: Blend 2 drops of Chamomile Oil with 5 drops Lavender Oil in a large bowl of warm water. Take a small cloth towel and barely skim the surface of this mixture with it; apply the warm compress to your aching head.

Sunburn: Chamomile and Lavender also work well blended together for a sunburn.

Bath: 2 drops of Chamomile and 2 drops of Lavender make a relaxing evening bath.

Simmer Pot: Place 6 drops of Chamomile in a simmer pot of water during times of great stress.

Children’s Bath: Roman Chamomile is gentle and effective for children’s baths and massage oils when used well diluted. One drop of oil to 1/2 ounce Massage Oil is sufficient. The scent is sweet and comforting.

These recipes are from “The Essential Oils Book” by Colleen K. Dodt.
