Asperger’s Syndrome “Not ANOTHER diagnosis!”
Asperger’s Syndrome was first identified in 1944, but was only officially recognized as a diagnostic category in the DSM IV in 1994. As a result, many children were misdiagnosed over the years as ADD/HD, Autistic, OCD or even schizophrenic.
Many different terms are currently applied, leading to great confusion on the part of parents and educators. Asperger’s Syndrome may also be referred to as High Functioning Autism (HFA), Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD), Pervasive Developmental Disorder – Not Otherwise Specified (PDD – NOS), Atypical PDD or even Nonverbal Learning Disability (NLD).

Many parents who first hear the words “Your child has autism” are shocked and dismayed.
While we have all heard about autism, many of us have only vague ideas of what the diagnosis means and what can be done to help children and adults lead as normal a life as possible.
The truth is that autism, being a spectrum disorder, affects different people in different ways and no two autistic children are exactly alike. There are also many different theories about what causes autism and what can be done to treat it.

What are the common causes of fatigue?
While we all go through moments of feeling tired and washed out, chronic fatigue seems to be the new ’21st Century illness’, often linked to high stress levels, environmental pollution, unhealthy diets and fast foods.
Despite plentiful food supplies and excellent medical facilities, many people in the Western world do not really know what it is like to feel truly healthy, full of energy and bounce.

Taken internally by tincture or infusion
* garlic (clove)
* hawthorn (flowers, berries)
* linden (blossom)
* wood betony (leaves, flowers)
* yarrow (leaves, flowers)
Add 15 g. herb to 500 ml water for an infusion or take up to 2.5 ml tincture 3 times a day.
Eating a clove of garlic a day has a positive effect on blood pressure. If you cannot stomach the taste of chewing garlic, cut the clove into pill-sized pieces and swallow with water as you would a medication.

What is menorrhagia?
Menorrhagia refers to excessive bleeding during menstruation and is experienced by many women at some point in their lives. Bleeding may be very heavy during a normal length period or in the form of prolonged bleeding every cycle. The average menstrual period lasts between four and five days and produces 60 to 250 ml of blood. What is “normal†varies quite widely between different women and one woman may be used to a regular 28 day cycle with a 3-day bleed while another may menstruate every 35 days for 7 days. Both may be considered normal.

If you’ve had a bladder infection, you know that pain can be all-consuming during the acute stage. Bladder infections are very common in women.
