Thanks to the media restless leg syndrome (RLS) is becoming recognized by more individuals. RLS disturbs the sleep of not only the person who has it but their bed partner as well because the individual besides RLS can also have spastic limb movements that can disturb the sleep of both individuals. The individual with RLS experiences a prickling, tingling or crawling sensation in their legs.

There are certain unassailable characteristics of existence and among them there are two that are fairly common for all. The fact that change is inevitable and that change is likely to cause stress is almost a ‘given’ in life today. Events, circumstances and people that make us happy at a certain specific time stop having that magical affect on us after some time. Even the happiness that we receive from accomplishing goals, acquiring material possessions and attaining status in life is temporary. All these aspects are bound to change with time and events that provided relaxation and happiness themselves become the source of stress.

The common meeting point of various theories is that emotions cause a noticeable physical change in the body. These physical changes can be perceived as body sensations. For example, fear causes an increase in heartbeat and happiness induces an expansive feeling in the chest and a feeling of lightness.
Your attitude towards life events and cognitive abilities largely determines your response and feeling. A positive mental attitude is a very good insurance against temperamental mood swings and can ensure good physical and emotional health.

In normal parlance impulsive action is one that is without any forethought. For the purpose of this article though, impulsive behavior refers to a quick, unplanned action without consideration of a possible negative outcome. It also refers to inappropriate behavior in children.
In recent years the medical fraternity has developed psychological tests that involve monitored laboratory performances to measure impulsive behavior. Obviously, these are meant for treating impulsivity in children through different tools like ‘talk therapy’ that many psychiatrists already use. Although psychiatrists are trained to use ‘talk therapy’ as a psychological tool, you too can try to control impulsive behavior in your child at home with the same tool.

Stress is unavoidable in the present scenario where everyone has to run around to squeeze a living and keep up with the rising cost of living. Some amount of stress, however, is actually beneficial since it provides that adrenalin rush to shake you from complacency. If you are complacent you are not likely to meet deadlines.
Continuous stress on the other hand can wreck one’s life. Stress, especially when it is internalized, causes mental and physical problems. Coping with stress is not difficult provided you know certain simple ways of natural stress relief.

There are generally two different labels of insomnia, primary and secondary. Secondary insomnia is insomnia that there is a medical reason for. This type of insomnia should be treated by a physician. This is where one condition is worsened by another disorder.
One common cause of secondary insomnia is sleep apnea. This is a disorder that is caused by a difficulty in breathing while sleeping. Symptoms include loud snoring, frequent long pauses between breaths that are followed by a gasping or choking to get air. All of these symptoms are persistently present.
