A baby towel wrap is a better option than a baby towel

While shopping for babies we usually tend to forget that the baby will soon outgrow the stuff we are buying. Obviously, buying oversized dresses is not an option but there are lots of other items that can be bought in larger sizes to last you for a loner period of time.
Manufacturers of baby products nowadays understand this preference for larger sizes and therefore market products that are slightly larger in size to parents of newborns too. Baby towels, crib sheets, quilts and blankets are some such baby items that can be bought in larger sizes since they can be used now and later when the baby grows into a toddler.
A baby towel wrap can serve the purpose of a baby towel as well as a toddler bath towel. Towel wraps are oversized baby towels that are big enough to wrap your baby completely.
Whatever design or style you choose, make sure that the towel fabric is terry cloth and made of organic cotton. Cotton is a natural absorbent and helps in quick drying after a bath.
One design of towel wrap is a simple towel with Velcro fasteners so that you can wrap the baby securely and put him somewhere till you look around for his dress.
There is another style which hangs around your neck as an apron while you are giving the baby a bath. This wrap is large enough for you to wrap him when you finish the bath and pick him up. All you need to do is to pick the baby up and place the baby against your chest and wrap the towel ‘apron’ around him. You will love the cuddly feel of the baby in the soft terry toweling.
Baby towel wraps make sense and are an option to consider if you have decided against a hooded towel. Like hooded towels, towel wraps go a long way in drying the baby completely and in retaining the body heat, which babies are prone to loose fast if not covered. A towel wrap should cover the baby from head to toe, which is necessary to protect the baby from unexpected draughts and significant temperature changes.
Whether it is a towel wrap, a hooded towel or a simple baby towel one thing that you should never forget is to keep it handy before you put your baby in the bath. Remember that your baby should never be left unattended while in a bathtub full of water - not even under supervision of an older brother or sister.
