It is important that you be able to recognize the early signs and symptoms of tendonitis because if it is not treated it can worsen and cause severe pain and immobilization of the joint.
The symptoms of tendonitis can be anything from very mild pain or irritation to severe pain and extreme discomfort. As tendonitis develops the symptoms will worsen. The more severe the symptoms you are experiencing the more serious the tendonitis is. The earlier you recognize the symptoms of tendonitis the earlier you can begin treatment for tendonitis.
The common symptoms of tendonitis are pain when the tendon is put under pressure, movement that is restricted in the area affected by the tendonitis. Pressure would be from lifting weights, jumping and turning direction such as is done when tennis is being played, and working with your hands as you complete manual tasks. Pain can be symptoms when the body part is moved or when it is touched.
Sometimes the symptom is a burning sensation that radiates from the affected area. The burning sensation can be felt after you finish exercising or after doing physical manual. Lastly, a symptom can be when the skin over the area is red, warm, lumpy or swollen.
Individuals who are into sports, frequent exercising or do repetitive motions at work should be aware of the early warning signs of tendonitis. These early signs if caught and recognized for what they are can help you to seek help when you need it in order to avoid more pain and injury. The warning signs of tendonitis are pain and stiffness and possible swelling in the affected area, usually over or near a joint.
Another warning sign is that you notice restricted movement without pain. If you experience pain that gets worse at night and in the morning when you first wake this is a warning sign for tendonitis. Another pain warning is when you have pain during or after motion of the affected area.
The symptoms you experience may be associated with the amount of strain that has been put on the body part, the size of the muscles that are involved, and if there are any adhesions or calcium deposits present.
There are actually some habits that you may have that may be contributing to the symptoms of tendonitis such as inadequate hydration while exercising or participating in sports, poor ergonomics or posture while performing work tasks, fascia and the misalignment of your joints.
Symptoms of tendonitis can feel like a very strong pulling, or a sharp pain when you move the affected body part. You can also feel pain when lifting or carrying anything no matter how light the object is. It can also feel like a deep ache, or a sensation like something being drawn across the body part.
When you have tendonitis it can make the muscle involved feel weakened. The symptoms of tendonitis can interfere with the normal daily activities that you normally do at work, at home or during sports.

I need a natural way to treat tendonitis in the upper arm. Thankfully, the problem is in my left arm, not my right, or I’d be in real trouble. Can someone help?
